No, not at all. I'm not sure why you implied that from my post?!? It bothers me a lot. It has no place in civilized society. Jeesh it's the 21st Century, it't time to move away from that barbarism, not towards it (which tells you a lot about how our society is de-evolving). We've been through 230 years as a country and not had torture as an official policy (sure it probably happens in some of the twlight places in our society like police stations and prisions, but isn't officially condoned, and shouldn't be).

I was jsut trying to make the point that those advocating torture, of which I'm not one of them, should be the ones who come forward and allow themselves to be the practice victims. It's not like the U.S. doesn't have experience with teaching torture, we've trained many secret police agenicies the art of torture, like SAVAK in the Shah's Iran. Let those elites like Alan Derschowitz and other advocating the use of torture try and out and see if they still like it.
