I agree that Kerry appears superior to the other two Democrats you mention. And I understand your frustration. I do think pretty well of Bush, but he could have used more seasoning, for example. On the other hand, a lot of people thought that FDR was a lightweight patrician, that Harry Truman was a failed haberdasher and machine politician, that Teddy Roosevelt was a knuckleheaded showboat, and that Ike was just an old fart (you do not get to be Supreme Allied Commander by being a cuddly grandpa). It takes some gumption to become president.........
