The big guns are the ones that win the big battles.

As a famous Russian dictator once remarked when advised that the Pope disagreed with his dictatorship:

"And how many battalions does the Pope command?"

The big guns win the big battles. New voters and independents are looking for the big sounds made by big guns. That's always where the excitement is and where the leverage is to be found.
