I recently took up Comcast on their offer of six months of Internet service for $19.95 a month. I purchased a Motorola
SB 5100 cable modem. I connected an Apple Airport Extreme base station to this via the Ethernet port. This in turn is is wirelessly connecting an Apple Powerbook and an IBM T42 Thinkpad (my son's). The setup for these went smoothly and everything is working well.

Now comes the tricky part. The SB 5100 has both an Ethernet and USB port. I am trying to set up an old Dell Pentium III running Windows 98SE to the USB port. The setup goes well until at the end I am given the warning my computer can't find the DHCP protocol. This is how the IBM and Apple are configured to the AEBS. How can I get or find the DHCP protocol for my Dell running Windows 98SE? I tried configuring everything manually on the Dell but this warning keeps popping up.

TIA to anyone who can help me with this problem.
