Here's a video of the event to refresh your memory.

LOL! I'm in no need of some refreshment of my memory; I didn't say that I remember him reading that book, I said that I remember him holding the book - perhaps I should have said "a book," or "whatever book it was," the correct way.

In fact, also recall that by the time he was told of one of the terrorist strikes - whether the first or second on the WTC, I'm not sure - the book was out of his hands.

[T]he book that W was reading in the school, from its cover in close-up shots it appears to be quite different from the one called "America" which was shown in the upside-down/right-way-up pictures.

Yes. As you've surely read, the book in the photo which was digitally manipulated to show Bush holding it upside-down appears to be "quite different" because it is quite different. It's a different book, from a different event.

From Perry's website:

rickperry.org

As Snopes.com points out, the photos of Bush reading a book called "America: A Patriotic Primer" were taken in 2002.

Has everyone forgotten the inane barbs pertaining to the book he was reading on the morning of September 11th, 2001 at Booker, concerning a "pet goat"?

Yawn. :-)

>>Forget what is in [the] video. Concentrate instead on what should be there and isn't!

What damns the Bush administration is not what is in this video, but what SHOULD be in the video and is not. Ostensibly, Bush and Card are reacting to a surprise attack, but Bush does not act surprised, and Andrew Card does not act like a man delivering an unexpected piece of news but instead is merely delivering a progress report to which he already knows Bush will not have an immediate response.

There is one more thing that should be in this video and isn't, and that is the Secret Service, the protective detail whose one and only job is the President's safety.

....the Secret Service did not rush in and remove the President to a secure location, or at least to the safety of the armored Presidential Limousine. That's their job. That's what they do in the case of a real surprise attack with so many unknowns. They don't do anything else.

But the Secret Service did nothing. The dog did not bark.<<
