I met with an elderly guy I have known for years yesterday, very interesting man. An immigrant, holocaust survivor, very successful businessman, certainly not someone who would take islamic terrorism lightly.

He asked me what I thought of the election ... I swallowed and said "I'm going to vote for Kerry," thinking he would criticize me for it.

Instead he launched into a very good analysis of what Bush has done wrong, and said that he and all his friends who he walks with on the beach in the morning were voting for Kerry. He was really passionate about it.

North and western Florida are more or less Republican. But Kerry will take the retiree vote due to the Medicare issue, neutralize the vet vote and Edwards will help neutralize the traditional white southern vote up north. Bush is only really strong with the so-called NASCAR Dads, that is the gas guzzler crowd. lol

Heavily Hispanic, black and free-spirited South Florida will go heavily for Kerry, as weill the Jewish vote, and he may even make it close with the traditionally rightwing Cubans. Cubans dont like Bush's travel ban to Cuba.
