Unclewest,

Look at it this way - if Kerry wins, we lose a couple of cities and he is the last Democrat ever. First off - Democrats congregate - in big cities. Even in the 'red' states the cities are 'blue'. NY and SanFran gone would ensure NY State and California are Republican.

Funny enough - Bush could have been popular by conceding to the UNSC and the Democrats opposing action. He could have beefed up the FBI instead and let the Jihadi's (funded by Iraq, Iran or Saudi interests) blow up a city before requesting permission to respond.

Unfortunately for him politically - he takes his oath to defend all Americans too seriously for his own good.

9/11 was way to small a body count to excite the Dems.

John

PS Today on a BBC interview discussing the US aggression in Najif - a moderate, reasonable Hezbollah represntative from Lebanon took time to denounce Bush and mention we need to change the leadership in Washington. Perhaps this is one of the foreign leaders Kerry mentioned?

Do you have to see the blood in your neighborhood first?

My neighborhood already had its blood and will likely have more of it if there's any more to be had. What about your neighborhood?

How much more of America will they have to annihilate before you get motivated to fight back?

Who's not motivated to fight back?

Speaking of fighting back, are you aware that they are stopping and searching commuter busses headed for the Pentagon Metro, the Metro hub in Virginia? Fifteen minute bus ride and then a 45-60 minute wait in line until your bus is searched. So everyone is an hour late for work. Do you have to ask who is paying for that one hour wait per federal employee? At least they have time each morning and speculate among themselves what possible utility those searches might have. As far as I know, they haven't come up with anything yet.
