Ted, Sorry, Ten, Bush is no where near the middle.

Well, he sure pretended to be when he passed the prescription drug benefit for Medicare, Ted Kennedy's education bill, the McCain-Feingold joke of campaign finance reform, welfare for farmers, and who knows what else, all to try and foster a "new tone" in Washington.

This country is so polarized that it's useless to try and walk in the middle of the road. Bush proved that when his "new tone" failed to win over the Democrats. If Kerry wins, he'll also prove it to be useless ... and then you can blame the "other side" as much as you want.

It's an illusion to "try to embrace as many segments of your constituency" as you can. Why should Kerry be lauded for this, but Bush be criticized? Better to just criticize them both and tell them to stick to their core philosophies. Too bad for Kerry, he doesn't have one.
