"By the way, Matthews' parting words, a dig at George Bush for not doing anything in Vietnam, were just childish. Hey, Matthews, George Bush isn't running on his record in Vietnam, Kerry is."

I was surprised Matthews didn't present at the democrat convention. He is so far left and expresses by attacking his right wing or moderate guests that he is no journalist. He should not be on msnbc unless it is paid programming. It is more political noise for democrats.

I loved it when O' Neill last comment to Chris on his voting record.. "I don't know why i am explaining my voting record to you!"

Chris started out on attack , backed off , then attack again. "O'Neill says you haven't let me talk." Chris went nuts and accused his comment as a typical conservative charge when they are on his show. I have the tape i will replay it and show the minutes you talked.

I believe O'Neill was saying Chris didn't let him explain the various actions but rather O'Neill had to spend the time talking about voting, where he lived. navy regulations , O'Neill was correct he didn't get time to talk and Chris's purpose was not to get to the truth but to destroy O'Neill.. a paid democrat advertisement....

I watched the Matthews' show last night and was so furious by the end of it, I rushed downstairs to whip out a nasty email to him, something I have never done. I see this morning I sent it, typos and all; shame on me (for the typos, not for sending it) but I was SO irritated and frustrated by his complete and rude dismissal of O'Neill before the "debate" even began.
Matthews is on my Don't Darken My Television Screen Ever Again list.
