Fillmore. Regarding strange market action ...

With the near 300 point plunge, the soaring oil prices, slowing economy, etc., you'd think today (Friday) might be a rough day for the equity markets.

Evidently, not so however. Future indexes point to a higher opening this AM. Why, well Dell earnings of course says Reuters:

Glad Reuters clarified the reasons for positive sentiment towards the index futures. Had they not pointed out the Dell earnings, I might have sworn it was because of the Plunge Protection Team, and the manipulation of markets to keep the financial system afloat until the November elections ... assuming they actually take place of course.
