Turned out Kennedy was dealing with sane men. Whoever deals with Iran won't be. Only this time Kerry will have a much easier task.

John Kerry will do pretty much what JFK did when he forced the Soviet Union to get out of Cuba with their nuclear weapons. When our national interests are at stake, John Kerry will take action just as John Kennedy did. If memory serves, JFK did not involve the UN in his actions concerning the Bay of Pigs or the Soviet missile issue in Cuba. He even kept the US Ambassador to the UN in the dark. kerry repeatedly tells us he will always defer to the UN first. That is not very JFK-like. BTW, did you know that JFK did nothing when the Soviets and GDR began to build the Berlin wall? He could have stopped it in its tracks and did not.

Were you alive when JFK confronted the Soviet Union in Cuba, Mary? I was. And remember it VERY distinctly. We were on the East Coast then, and in direct line of fire, so to speak. JFK did NOT consult the UN. He dealt with it directly. JFK would have called himself a Republican today. Go back and look at the actual newspapers of those days. You will see for yourself. John Kerry is NO JFK. BTW, I wondered if you really wrote your note this AM. MUCH more ...ummm....antagonistic....than is usual for you. Nearly sounds like a Kerry soundbite ....
