Julia Child

Bon appetit!

I learned to cook from her book, Mastering the Art of French Cooking

the entire range of basic cooking techniques

two base sauces, everything other sauce known to man, a variation from those two basics

nor will I ever forget the scene from SNL

Dan Ackeroyd as Julia

Never watched Julia Child, but it's nice to know she became such an icon. :)

I'm a huge fan of Emeril Lagasse. He gave me the inspiration and courage (yes, it took courage) to start messing around in the kitchen. Like he says, "This ain't rocket science, folks!"
