Ted, if anything, newspapers should aim for just reporting the news, not pushing agendas with biased coverage one way or the other. Instead, the Post is apologizing for pushing the wrong agenda (in their view), not for pushing agendas period.

Meanwhile, I've noticed before how the press is trying to cover for Kerry's gaffes. With Kerry once again stumbling over his war stance, it's time for the press to once again give him a helping hand.

Of course, they should wait until McCain-Feingold finally gives the press a virtual monopoly over the political arena. Something like 30 days before the election. If Kerry doesn't have a commanding lead before then, watch as the press loses any semblance of impartiality.
