Jewel, I am not sure if you are on the right thread if you want to talk about TRUTH. When you talk about Truth, you inevitably involve the discussion in the subject of REALITY as well, and matters of Subject-Object Consciousness. The U.S. Supreme Court sometime in the 50s or 60s rendered a judgment (drawing on the musings of an obscure 14th Century Catholic theologian) that REALITY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER. The case in question was relative to cream cheese being used in TV commercials to depict shaving cream. The court found that because cream cheese LOOKED LIKE shaving cream (over TV) and was perceived as such by the TV viewer, there was no deception involved in using cream cheese instead of shaving cream (which looked to the TV's of those days) as something else again...... Said in other ways: "one man's meat is another man's poison". You and I and everyone are living in the world of DUALITY in which the only experienced TRUTH and REALITY are personal, NOT universal and definitely not eternal..... To know about REAL TRUTH, REAL REALITY AND REAL GOD (all of which are synonymous) you have to leave the world of duality . To do that you are going to need the help of a genuine Spiritual Master. REAL TRUTH is that which is always already the case. Namaste! Jim
