Wharf Rat, you can't find more direct truth than the Russell article you posted. I think of the USA as a big goose that the farmer (China) is stuffing with their foreign goods and they must keep the goose happy buying its currency to keep it afloat. Eventually the goose will be stuffed for cooking and the farmer will no longer need to keep it happy. Once they quit buying treasury notes precious metals will be the only safe haven for those who have been patient and accumulated during this feeding frenzy. Too many of us have been raised on instant gratification and are unable to wait for the big kahuna. As for me, I will continue to wait with Russell. James
