"If it wasn't for the Swiftboaters I would never have looked into Kerry's war record."

Yes, Mary, you and about a million others.

And you still cannot, as of this moment, look into Kerry's war record because he refuses to sign the 180 permission that would open his entire record for public scrutiny. Incidentally, the Dems screamed and hollered about Bush's so-called AWOL and he did release all of his records, including those protected by the 180.

Now the precious Democrats who are interested in free speech, free assembly, free access, blah blah blah are sitting on their collective asses hoping that the issue will be blown away or that they can destroy the characters of those who dare to challenge their chosen Hero Commander-in-Chief to be.

But their tactics are now backfiring on all cylinders and they are desperately hoping for a Savior.

But none is likely to appear.

By the way: Where is Edwards, Kennedy, Biden, Clark, Gore, Graham, Pelosi, Clinton when Kerry really needs them?

Do they smell a rat? Are they keeping their distance until this storm blows over?

I doubt that it will blow over.

Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
And all the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Dumpty together again.

And so it will be with "reporting for duty" Kerry.

Mary, are you not bothered by the lack of integrity of a man who slandered his former comrades in order to win an election? John Kerry recently admitted that his 1971 congressional testimony, in which he charged all U.S. soldiers with daily atrocities, was "over the top." How could he have such a nonchalant attitude after making false charges that resulted in mistreatment of Vietnam vets? My brother was one of them, although he was stationed in Germany at the time, upon returning home his uniform was spit on at the airport. That was a direct result of the untrue & ugly picture that Kerry painted for Congress of all U.S. military at the time. More importantly was harsher treatment of American POWs by their Vietcong captors. Many POWs said John Kerry's testimony was mentioned to them. We must ask ourselves what he is saying today that is "over the top" in order to win this election?

Clinton wasn't in the service, Mary, yet he decided to send our troops to Bosnia and other places worldwide. So what is your real point??? What about Somalia? There were several of "our children" killed there too....And ditto with the USS Cole....

I personally don't care if Kerry lied just to make himself appear better in his eyes. I DO care that he lied to Congress, talking about all the atrocities that "he and others committed" and all the examples he gave....with no proof, and no record of reporting these so called atrocities.

I see the contrast between his commitment to serve his country in a combat situation and question those that chose to duck combat for themselves and choose to send other people's children to war.
