Are the editors ordering them to leave it alone? OR could it be the owners and majority stockholders of the "mainstream" liberal media have told everyone to 'put a lid on it'.....???????

And it turns out it's total bunk.

Yes, the media reaction/non-reaction is fascinating. I get a sense a lot of media types are nervously eyeing the other media types - "are we going to have to cover this? are you covering it?"

The book is just coming out this week. Certainly FOX and the WSJ are going to review it. Can everybody else just ignore it? NPR at least will review it on its Here and Now news magazine show. TWT for the others.

The most interesting angle of the story to me is the one that plays up Kerry's judgement. Perhaps he did not know how many unfriends he had made among the Swiftvets. But knowing his record there had been somewhat puffed (a venal sin surely), he still decided not only to run on it but to make it the absolute centerpiece of his campaign. If Kerry had been talking about the future instead of the past in this campaign we would be all going, who cares? about the Swiftvets stories. Well, maybe not all of us, but most of us.

This idol not only has feet of clay, he has just spent months telling us to vote for him because of his feet.
