I've noticed posting drops off when markets move sideways for long periods.

I've also noticed posting drops off when people are losing money. It's the unusual person who wants to crow about their losses.

yep, this seems like the period that will bring valuations back in line like the bears always said had to happen. In 02, it looked like we could get back on track. Even I'm a bear now- although you can always buy stock in growth companies in any decade, any market that long term will be worth more money, WMT in the 70s for example. But those opportunities are hard to find. blech
