James > If seriously examined it could be considered as treason. But right now it is just something more to be swept under the carpet. Agreed. But then what of the US Constitution, the product of brilliant minds? American "democracy", which was fought for in bloody wars? The Rule of Law? For three hundred years the world has looked to the US as the shining example of liberty and liberation. Of decency. Are these now historical relics and the real politik of the US is something entirely different? Has the US succumbed to the fate which overtook Rome, Spain, Napoleonic France, Britain and, dare I say it, Nazi Germany --- fascism and imperialism? Indeed, are we now witnessing the decline of another once-great nation?
