Great.. I lived in Cocoa Beach for two years right on the ocean and left to return to Sarasota. It scared me being near the Air Force Base over there which was encased in cement... going down A1A... with high walls around it after 9/11... Also the Space Center. It felt too vulnerable.
However, I was told at the time that the reason the Kennedy Space Center was built there as no hurricanes would hit Cocoa Beach area... and the Center because of the way the ocean floor lay.???? But living on the ocean even with storm shutters in 180 mph winds leaves a lot to be worried about methinks.

INLAND and safer now.

Sorry to see so much tragedy there and have guests who have to return and are reluctant to go as two more storms are reportedly on same track..?

We all lucky to have been spared.
