Jim Rassman hadn't seen Kerry in 35 years. Nobody called him, paid him or even remembered him. He is a life-long Republican retired cop. He voted for Repubs all his life. He came forward because Kerry saved his life. He gets his expenses paid to rebut these stinkers from the SmearVets. They get paid too. In fact, if anyone's paying off false testimonies it's the Smearvet Gang. They are funded by Texas mega millionaires without ethics.

They were paid but not in the sense that you implied. They were reimbursed for out of pocket expenses.

You don't expect the Smearvet Gang, funded by Bush's unscrupulous big business cronies and lackeys in Texas, to pay them, do you?
