Agreed. But, there is a difference between timing the release of truthful if unflattering information (Bush's DUIs) and outright lies (the McCain smear campaign).

So far, the revisionist Swifties have been rebuked, primarily because the people who knew best, Kerry's crew, back up his story. Unfortunately, the truth doesn't always bubble up in the minds of the public...

Drudge is a serial proven LIAR over and over and over again. The RNC uses him when they want to put out a story they can't touch. He works for them but gets ad money too. He's a sleazeball gay guy who hates gays and is a criminal libel artist. he ought to be locked up. Not a single story he's told about Kerry has been true. Not yet anyway that I have seen.
