The comments were actually made by Jerome Corsi, not O'Neill, on an Internet message board. Unbelievable that anyone would post intemperate remarks on an Internet message board. I'm shocked.

In his interview on The Sean Hannity Show, Corsi said, "I apologize if anybody was offended by anything I said." Corsi then classified his comments (which included calling Pope John Paul II "senile"; asking if Senator "HELLary" Clinton is "a lesbo or anything"; and calling Muslims "RAGHEADS" and "Boy-Bumpers") as "silly," saying he "thought they were jokes" and complaining that they were taken "completely out of context."

The religious Smearvet slurs are from Corsi the co-author with the guy who did not serve with Kerry named O'Neil.

He posted on the SmearVet website that Catholics are pedophiles, the Pope's senile, Kerry's a Jew and Muslims are all evil.

This is the crowd we're dealing with.
