Saddam's capture was a good thing. But the war in Iraq and almost everything about it was bungled by Bush. He also lied to the American people about his reasons for wanting to invade and has changed his story so many times he is the ultimate flip-flopper. If Kerry had been president Saddam would have been neutralized or taken out of power, but it would have been done in a far smarter less destructive way and we would not be on the hok for hundreds of billions and thousands of lives for many years to come. But Bush wanted three things; oil fields, to swipe the 2002 election and to be a "war president" and declare Mission Accomplished. On all three subjects he lied to the American People.
