Daniel Pipes is somewhat lessened after reading such a distorted article

My fault. The last part about "Sharia" was added on from another article, since it was on the same subject. I should have made it clear it was separate.

Alastair.....Is there a link to a major media of Canada that shows the PM's exact wording on this....? Hopefully you will have one. TIA!

Of course, there is another answer to this....The Muslim women wouldn't have to show their facial feature to have the photos done....IF they don't want permanent resident status, or if they don't want to go through Customs --in or out-- of Canada or the US.....

The issue in the second part of the article actually was about the photographs required for permanent resident status. Pipes tries to leave the impression that Prime Minister Paul Martin wishes to let a Muslim women keep her hijab on to the point of hiding her facial features. What the PM actually wrote confirmed that Immigration Canada does not require the head covering to be completely removed, but for security purposes, all facial features must be visible for the photographs.
