Laura Bush, while campaigning in Pennsylvania last week has said embyonic stem cell research is in its infancy and it is not correct to say that cure for Alzheimer's is around the corner.

Unlike Nancy and Ron Reagan, I am going to believe Laura but at the same time turn around and ask her that if this is in its infancy then shouldn't more funding be provided to exploit its full potential?
