Kerry has not allowed Dumbya to pass him in the polls. At worst they are running neck and neck, and in some places, Kerry is pulling ahead.

He is forced to be ambivalent about the Iraq war because the stupid sheep in this country are still deluding themselves that it is going to work out. If we continue to do what we're doing, Iraq is guaranteed to be a mess. Even if we can get the help of the UN and NATO, it is unlikely that Iraq can be stabilized anytime soon.

Kerry is going to be deliberately ambivalent now but will be decisive once he is in office. And even then, there is only a 50-50 chance that anything good will happen, for the Iraq mess is such a huge pile of doo-doo dumped on our heads by Dumbya and his arrogant and ignorant henchmen.
