No, Kerry's hauteur is of a more acceptable and familiar form to Europeans, but is if anything greater than Bush's.

he does not seem openly hostile to the idea of cooperation between the democracies, and so is likely to get more cooperation from us

I don't doubt Kerry's ability to get and give sweet diplomatic nothings...but France runs its foreign policy for cold hard cash, and that is not going to change, so cooperation will happen only when Kerry caves, as he has a habit of doing.

I don't know where you live marcos, but I live in Massachusetts and I've had 19 years to see JF Kerry in action. We're not talking Profiles in Courage here, believe you me.
