And, what the hell is so great about being a "conservative"? That word means nothing in 2004. After 4 years of "conservative" control of our government we have out of control spending, deficits, expansion in government scope and power, Orwellian laws like the PATRIOT Act. If liberal is such a bad thing, which is isn't, then conservative is much worse. Even a conservative Republican Representative lamented that his party was spending 4 times the pork that the Democrats were previously spending before the GOP took control. Labels mean nothing anymore, they really don't. Conservatives in 2004 are big government spenders, that would make liberals of a previous generation blush from the total lack of fiscal control.

If Kerry can get us to focus on domestic priorities for a change, that would be a great thing. Why are the Republicans always so focused on other countries besides our own. It's as if they don't even know we have problems to address here in the US of A. I like Kerry's line about not opening fire houses in Iraq and closing them in the U.S. That brings the issues of where the two parties priorities lie to light.
