'I think it's a good thing we re-hash the Vietnam war' - oh by all means Michael, fill yer boots, far be it from me to hinder the continuity of your hashing efforts, lol ...... good luck though, with selling us unconvinced on the wisdom of US Indochina policy '45-'75

Kerry was right, it was a stupid war, it was avoidable, brutal, bloody, above all unnecessary, which renders it extremely stupid

That's what you don't like, isn't it, that Kerry was right, while your Nixon was wrong ... well let that be a lesson to you, pick a smarter contestant next time, amigo

And you know what - Kerry was right about Reagan dicking around behind congress' back and hiring argentino torturers to terrorise centroamericano villages, too .... and we all know this out here, among the Rest of Us, that's what the man is known for, before the president thing came up

'for someone who claims he doesn't care about Bush, you sure spend allot of typing time complaining about his foreign policy.'

You've been misinformed Michael, i don't care for Bush, not about him .... i don't care for bush because he supports DC corruption that results in a one-way-only 'free trade' pact between the US and the areas of my province that depend on forestry ..... then later, i found i didn't care for him for another reason - he told the Rest of Us that yer with us or agin us, and what he meant by that was he'd only be happy if we shut up and took his orders toot sweet, though it did seem to be alright with him that when he said jump we could ask how high .... any or all of which might have been fine under other circumstances, like if he was just pissed up at another kegger or something, and having us on, but you see the thing was he seemed to be in all apparent seriousness intent on crossing the sea and rolling his tanks over another nation on the other side, sans carefully built case, sans coalition, sans much of a plan of what to do with this nation afterwards ...... probably not a bad guy to drink beer with, if you can get him to admit a state of non compos mentis, and if you first hide the keys to the tanks

'a lot of typing time'? - i've been some distance away from a keyboard for the majority of this calendar year ... Michael, i have not yet begun to type -g- .... very well then, i'll let you get back to your re-hashing, or re-hacking, or pre-hurling or whatever ..... cheers

<mass murderers> How many millions did we kill? How many were civilians? How many women? How many children? What do you have to do to qualify as a "mass murderer" where you live?

I think it's a good thing we re-hash the Vietnam war and relate it to our present foreign policy initiatives.

By all means do. Here is a recent discussion of it. I'd like to see what you have to add to it. Message 20350264
