Can't say that I blame them for being outraged.

Remember this all begin with a dispute over a newspaper. We didn't like what Sadr was saying in the paper so we shut it down. Months later we face the prospect of bring war to a sacred shiite shrine.

The rightwingers will try to argue that this has something to do with terrorist attacks against the US, but really it is all about a newpaper that very few people even read.

so you're saying the attack on a 'small oil well' has the international oil market convinced it is the beginning of a Shiite uprising that will attack the big Iraq oil wells

how much oil are the big Iraq wells pumping a day?

do you think they are protected/guarded?

or not?
