I know for a fact that the Democrats want to strengthen environmental policies, strengthen unions, and strengthen workplace safety laws, all of which are the reasons that businesses send jobs overseas. So, what are they going to to to reverse jobs going offshore?

Seems to me that their position is logically untenable. I wonder if they are deliberately trying to fool the little guy or if they are fooling themselves, too.

As a practical matter, if Kerry wins, he won't have to deliver on any of those things, just make politically engineered proposals, because of the Republican Congress. About the only thing he can do on his own is trade. Wonder if we'd get another steel tariff... <g>

CB,

The billboards were in South Carolina. I just got back from dropping my eldest off at Clemson.

Here in NC, Bowles is making a big play on the same issue. Jobs lost to China and NAFTA. But its more radio than billboards.

Trouble is he was Clintons chief of staff and his main man on setting up both NAFTA and in getting China WTO status.
