Al, They send goons and hecklers ...

Echoing the Kerry "goon" line, I see. Those protesting against Bush are doing so out of their own prerogative, but those protesting against Kerry must have been "goons" sent by the one who has the audacity to "talk to God."

Of course, it's all about the "issues," isn't it?

What cowards. They send goons and hecklers to kerry's open appearances and filter who they allow in bush's stumps...all designed to make it easy for the man who talks to God (and TV audiences)....LOL

Never underestimate New Yorkers........if anyone can turn this Republican fest into an international embarrassment, its them. Already, they are claiming they have infiltrated the convention. The NYPD is smart as well. We'll see who's smarter but don't be surprised if it turns into Seattle 2001.

When was the last Bush news conference, where he actually had to take soft ball questions from the press?

These guys are tuning their message more than any previous admin, nothing is spontaneous, no person in the crowd that might embarrass the candidate. It's theatre, with a vetted audience. They press the play button and Bush spits out the perfect sound bites that appeal to our worst instincts. You have to recognize their political skill, for what it's worth.

I'm really curious to see if the majority of US voters will see through the scam. You can feel it on this thread; some folks just buy the sound bites, especially the ones against Kerry, without question. They shut down the skeptical part of their intellect... they just buy the crap. It's disgusting.

I think Kerry will win because I don't believe the majority of people can be fooled by this simplistic marketing. But it will probably all come down to the debates. Assuming we can get the ~8% of undecided voters to watch Bush v. Kerry rather than Cold Case Files.
