Kevin: I think there are something like 250 people in SwiftVets web site, however the ones in the Ad and the book number about 60. Each of them have signed a notarized statement taken under oath indicating they were either on his boat, other boats in his group and witnessed FIRST HAND, or where in his direct chain of command. Add it all up and ya gotta admit, I doubt you would buy a used car from a guy that EMBELLISHES like Kerry does.
BUT, even THAT isnt the strangest thing. The STRANGEST thing IMHO is here is a man who served 4 mos in field where others served at least 12 (it was 13mos for Marines)and feels that he has accomplished NOTHING else in his life that he should CROW ABOUT, despite having served 20 years or so in the Senate. You dont find that STRANGE? jdn

Analysis by a friend on loppy's $10K trim:

I like it better when the use of words like "quaft" to describe a liberal and his fancy little $10K trim. Just think how many democraps had to send in donations to pay for Carrie's quaft. The only dummies dumber than Carrie are the dummies that support and send him money.

First of all, you do know, don't you, that Michael Kranish has been on Kerry's payroll as an advisor and biographer for Kerry, all at the same time he was a "journalist" for the Boston Globe.

Hardly an unbiased source.

Second, the title for the link you sent said: Republican-funded Group Attacks Kerry's War Record

I believe you will find that it was NOT a "Republican funded Group".... The AD was funded PARTIALLY by a REPUBLICAN MAN, Robert Perry. $100,000 out of the total ad cost of $154,000...or so.

And DON'T forget....Moveon.org is a George Soros funded 527, and has funded hundreds of Anti-Bush ads, as well as Pro-Kerry ads..... Plus gives MILLIONS to the DNC....

Do you think $100,000 compares to $12 Million and counting???

The Swift Boat Vets for Truth have evidently all sorts of political persuasions....Republican, Democrat, and Independent. There are 250+ Vets who are part of this group, and 60 of them knew and worked directly with Kerry. The 50' long boats ran in packs together, and were side by side. They were maned by a group of 5 men and 1 officer for a total of 6 men.

I think that it would be smart of every American to try to read objectively this book....After all, all the 25 Bush bashing books plus MM's "movie" (term used loosly) were at least considered by the left.

Is the Left afraid of ONE book?????? Maybe they should ask themselves why.

The bottom of your link said this:

At this point, 35 years later and half a world away, we see no way to resolve which of these versions of reality is closer to the truth.

Kerry should release his Military records as he insisted Bush do...and Bush did. What is Kerry afraid of?
