Republicans wouldn't know balance if it hit them in the head.

Bush is going to be saying that "Lessons of 9-11" speech as justification for invading Iraq until the body bags quit coming home.

We did accomplish several things in Iraq. First we ousted Saddam, creating a vacuum for which several factions are now vying to fill...including the remnants of the Baath Party, Al Sader and Al Qaeda.

We'd have been far better off leaving Saddam in power and then chaining his leg to a palace column by putting pressure on him to clean up his act. A quiet revolution would have been preferred to this mess we're in now.

Maybe Kerry can get the other NATO nations to help out, and maybe he can turn around the slide in Iraq. But this mess that Bush created with the war in Iraq and the division of our traditional allies has been the worst thing that we could have done in the war on Al Qaeda. It's so effed up, that I wonder if Kerry can do much...the same as I wonder what Bush will do next.

But since Bush effed it up to begin with...the only thing for the voter to do is give the other guy a chance to fix things.
