How can you tell a false positive?-clearly there would be a great deal of interest if they were not false positives

FWIW

I just ran AVG after NAV both were clean
(Thank God for small favors)

AVG makes you go through some loops E-mail rigamorol to install their freeware

but as they say: "don't look a gift horse in the mouth."
