well Steve so you have less respect for yourself and family or did you lie about serving? Were you thrown out of the service? Did you get arrested? What turned you against the military?

I have more respect for those that went to Canada and risked losing their citizenship, their families and friends than for those who could have their family pull strings for them and keep them out of the war.

I had no respect for those who left for Canada. Those folks could have volunteered for the Peace Corps, or done Civil Service here in this country if they were truly a Conscientious Objector.
