Well, I can justify it. Your articles imply you want to stop burning coal, stop using imported fuels, and stop letting power plants release CO2. Well, if that's what you want, it's going to cost a lot more than the $30B Kerry pledges to throw at nice-sounding research projects. It would mean a massive downward restructuring of our way of life. If you want to live in a sod-house and live only on what you grow, go right ahead.

Or maybe I'm reading you wrong. Perhaps you want a completely nuclear society - that would require no mining, no CO2, and no fuel imports.
