It's a bet on Raptiva. Unless R is a total dog, XOMA's dead body (including its IP) ought to be worth $200 million, and anything else that might pop up would be "free" stuff at this price. I'm not qualified to argue about the technical merits. I've made plenty of mistakes and this may be one of them...

I'm not thinking long-term vs short term, but generally when I buy something I'm prepared to hold it indefinitely. Crunch time will be when (if?) I figure out R's prospects --lotsa conflicting opinions on sales potential.
