LOL! ROFLMAO!

But really, that article is, imho, one of the most asinine, ludicrous, ridiculous and illogical pieces of writing I have seen so far.

To be sure those who committed all manner of artifice and subterfuge to avoid going to Vietnam must be roaring with laughter and telling their buddies that the writer of the piece has a most wonderful sense of humour!!! What it is implying is that Kerry avoided serving in the National Guard because it was more dangerous than doing a stint in Vietnam. To be sure, this would make your AWOL Bush Jr. so very brave, eh?

Don't laugh to loudly Rich.

All satire comes in the form of a two-edged sword. It cuts both ways. Both the one weilding it is in danger as well as the intended victim.

That's why satire is so wonderful. It completely undermines one's opponent while exposing the satirist to dangers that even he might not recognize when writing his satiric piece.

So to the reader who laughs too loudly. Beware! The other side of the two-edged sword approaches.
