kerry made vietnam a " centerpiece" of his qualifications because he has no other. kerry's supporters have made "hate bush" their centerpiece". really pretty simple for me. november will be here soon and we'll find out if kerry and his supporter's judged correctly or incorrectly.

Mike, The Democrats slandered Bush -> AWOL this, Deserter that. Not just Michael Moore, but the DNC head. Kerry jumped on it in a subtle way - 'questions that need to be answered'. On top of this they poured tens of millions into 527 attack adds. The SwiftVet guys probably would have left it alone, but Kerry smeared them in the 70's and now was running on the Swift Boat theme. He was asking for it, and the 527 rules the DNC were flaunting permitted funding of the SwiftVets. Bush and Co - took the high road early on Vietnam and Kerry, but the DNC attacked the Guard record and used media contacts to keep that story alive. Desertion and AWOL are serious charges. What did you think would happen? John
