I don't get it. Of course we need a lighter, more flexible force, ready to deploy in far flung places. And, of course, it is about time that the Europeans take more responsibility for their own immediate defense needs. We no longer are facing off against the Warsaw Pact, or reassuring the rest of Europe that Germany can be trusted.......

I've got news for you - that troop redeployment is a long term deal that's been happening since 1991! Bush stepped forward and took credit for a rock that's been rolling downhill for a long time. Chumps like you buy it..
