On a lighter note...(if that's possible:) Al-Qaeda hosts Terrorist Games (absurdnews.com 8/18/04) From somewhere in the mountains of Afghanistan -- Al-Qaeda officials, stung by the lack of publicity they've been receiving lately, decided to hold a Terrorist Games to compete with the Summer Olympics. The premier track event was the 400 Meter Suicide Bomber Relay, where participants blow themselves up as they pass the baton to a teammate. Mukmar Ali Baba, who anchored the event, expressed disappointment as his bomb failed to detonate as he crossed the finish line. Later, at the awards ceremony, he complained that "his late teammates are rolling in the hay with 72 virgins in Paradise while all he got was a gold plated AK-47". The Al-Qaeda operative who was responsible for arming the explosive devices apologized profusely to Ali Baba before being summarily executed for incompetence. Next event on the schedule is purported to be the Bin Laden Biathlon, which combines the 100 Meter Cave Crawl and Camel Humping Relay. More news as the situation develops...
