You know it is unfair of Republicans to fault John Kerry for only serving 4 months and not completing his tour in South Vietnam. After all, he spent the next 8 months in North Vietnam with Ho Chi Minh. Thats gotta count for something.

I would call it desperate.

They are up against it here. Kerry seems to be a very formidable opponent. He's very good at tactics and strategy.
