Yes, it is. The polls show that the war is the area where Bush is leading Kerry. So the Kerry Kamp made sure they featured Kerry's war experience at the convention. And that is where the trouble started.

I guess I don't understand why it would be such a significant difference to consider. We have had three years of GW actually BEING president, surely a far more meaningful measure of the man and his ability to lead (or not) than the much debated worth (or lack of) of his NG duty. We KNOW what he is doing, and can extrapolate what he may do. With Kerry we have an unknown quantity (growing to be more so!).

I have no doubt GW's poor service record will get flogged yet again, but it's all out there- there isn't much more blood to be drawn from it. Kerry took a huge risk. Had he not used Vietnam Hero as the title of his resume, and assumed a certain humility about it..... well, I could be wrong. I just know how his kind of bragging affects me.
Btw, I am an undecided.
