I do not think he slandered his fellow vets. He clearly placed the blame on America's leadership, not the young men who served our Country.

Over thirty years later people are still angry about a perceived slight. Who cares? Kerry was right about Vietnam.

Then, just like today, our leaders failed our young men (and now women too) in uniform.

I do not interpret that as slander. He portrayed the Vietnam war as a senseless war, a war where our soldiers had to do things which they would never do under normal circumstances.

The people who are against Kerry on the war are the same people who were active with Nixon in defending the war. And we all know how much Nixon carries credibility with the people.
