I got a DVR right before the Olympics .....

...... I didn't even make the connection between the two. But I'll tell you, the DVR was invented for the Olympics and the Olympics were invented for Amanda Beard, Natalie Coughlin, Kaitlin Sandeno, Inge de Bruijn, Jenny Thompson, Jodie Henry, Libby Lenton, Liesel Jones, and Yana Klochkova, the finest collection of women swimmers in history.

Yesterday, Natalie and Kaitlin were a part of the epic 4x200-meter U.S. women's freestyle relay team that broke the oldest world record on the books: a 17-year-old record that was the only remaining record of East Germany.

Later today, Amanda Beard tries to win her first individual gold medal--the 200-meter breaststroke. She set the world record in it last month. DVR time!
