Leftists do not care about such things as strength and character. They know Kerry is dishonest and still support him. This election cannot be won as the GOP now conducts it. The only way to win is to make Kerry's dishonesty so obvious, displaying it so frequently, that everyone but leftists will find it hard to display "Kerry for President" on their autos. This means the GOP needs to focus more on knocking Kerry's legs from under him, much as the Swifties are attempting. It is possible to run a legitimate negative campaign if the opponent is himself negative. It is quite legit to have 60 of your former coworkers give their opinion on you if you are claiming they support you. Kerry claimed we should ask the guys who served with him about his leadership. That point needs to be made repeatedly. Then the GOP needs to openly get on ads and ASK THESE PEOPLE ABOUT KERRY! Take his head completely off and then dissect it in the open daylight. The GOP needs to allow Bush to run a positive campaign. But Bush should be the only one running positive. Everyone else needs to be going after the truth on Kerry - persistently publishing it, talking about it and displaying it wherever possible. Kerry knows he is about to go down. That is why he just denounced the Moveon.org ad. He wants Bush to do likewise. Bush should agree that the 527's need to be shut down, but mention how it was Kerry who first criticized Bush's Vietnam record - and that Bush has never done anything so ugly against Kerry. That is how Bush needs to strike Kerry. Everyone else needs to keep kicking Kerry until he stops moving. Then chop off his head just to make sure the job is done properly (grin).
