'it's still in place' - cold war, nuclear threat, etc. are all still there AND being added to. Putin: mobile nukes were a glowing announcement from the KGBer a year ago. Bush: tactical nuclear weapons along with SDI (geezloopyloueze) are a big part of his plan for the military.

The media leaves the impression that the cold war was 'won' by someone and is now over. Huh? Those Russian nukes are on trigger alert and pointed towards us. Just as they ever were.

One installation alone: 350 times the firepower of Hiroshima.

I cannot believe the media cannot draw a line between the tactical nuclear weapons development and a greater risk of small, less detectable (and requiring less material) nukes in the future. We're developing suitcase nukes. The terrorists can just wait until we do and wait until the technology proliferates throughout the world.

They can then go pick up the plans and material from a Pakistani (or other nation) tradeshow booth. KABOOM.
