He can disavow their position. That isn't coordinating with them, he leaves that to those that run the party. I don't think McCain would insist that Bush do something illegal.

That is an interesting question. It's 527 not 501, but it may be the MC Cain Feingold makes it illegal for the President to mention a specific group.
